On March 31, 2012 at the Pohnpei Campus Gymnasium saw the Grand Finale of the 2012 Pohnpei Basketball March Madness Tournament. It was a shocking surprise this month not seeing team Kolonia contending for the 1st place podium, instead they were contesting for the 3rd place spot in the March Madness Tournament. They will be contending the Awak Wolverines for the 3rd place and Strippling Warriors and Out-Laws will be contending for the 1st place.

On March 12 the Pohnpei Basketball March Madness Tournament kicked-off with the top 3 teams from last month's tournament playing on opening night. In the first game Kolonia blew out IBC (Island Basketball Club). Team Kolonia out-scored IBC 64-38 with their fast break plays and good passing skills. Three players from Kolonia scoring double digits. Wearing jersey #11- David Actouka score leader for Kolonia registering 13 pts, #21- Maverick Salvador contributing 11 pts, and 10 pts for #14- Willy Hawley Jr. and Lianter Dikepa from IBC registering the team's high scorer with 10 pts.

The COM/FSMNOC Pohnpei Youth Summer Basketball Camp will be starting this Monday 14th July 2008 and run for 5 days. Applications from camp participants have been steadily coming in over the past few weeks to fill the quota of 100 athletes for each session. The monring session will run from 9am - 12noon with 9-12yr olds, the after noon session caters for 13-17yr old athletes from 1pm - 4pm.....
