Morton to Lead Group Mr.John Morton, Temora, has been elected unopposed to take over the reins as President of Group 9. John has been involved with Rugby League and been an untiring worker for both the Temora Dragons and for Group 9. Retiring President, Neville Smith, spoke highly of John before standing down from the job after 14 years. John Callister has stayed as interim Treasurer. more -->

Wooden Leads from Front. Grant Wooden put in the Man of the Match performance in leading the Wagga Kangaroos to a devastating 42 to 4 win over the Jason Ferris coached Gundagai Tigers in the XXXX GOLD First Grade Grand Final today at McDonald Park, Wagga. Wooden took out the covetted John Hill Memorial Medal in a classic display of front row football.

Best & Fairest Winners Named Medalsfor Best & Fairest in all grades were announced and presented during today's Grand Finals.
The Eric Weissel Medal for First Grade was an exciting count where Josh Cale & Joe Williams (both Lavington)led from Adam Donaldson (Tumut)at round 16 by 4 votes. Donaldson (22) finished with two major awards to nudge out Cale (21) & Williams (20)for a great win.

Brothers Upset Kangaroos. Wagga Brothers managed to even the score against arch rivals Wagga Kangaroos in the Burmeister Shield (Reserve Grade) Grand Final. Kangaroos, after being locked at 10 all in the Major Final with Brothers, ran out winners 20 to 10. Brothers were first to score today but missed the conversion. Dragon Girls Slay Brothers In a very high standard display of skill and speed and tenacity in defence, Temora Dragons hit the lead early and managed to score twice more by half time while keeping the speedy Brothers scoreless. Bullpups Defeat Tiger Cubs! Minor Premiers, Cootamundra Bulldogs, became the only minor premiers to win today when they downed the Gundagai Tigers 20 to 8. As they did in the major semi-final, the Bulldogs jumped to the early lead going to half time with a healthy 16 nil lead. The Tigers made a comeback in the second half with two unconverted tries to the 'Dogs one. see more more -->
Junee over Southcity in 16's The Junee Diesel Sullivan Cuppers began a day of minor premier defeats when they completely outclassed their more fancied oponents Southcity Bulls. Racing to a 16 nil lead at the break, the Diesels were never seriosly troubled and went on to win the match 28 to 8. Daniel Foley, Junee fullback, was awarded the Reg Wheeler Medal as Best on Ground. more -->
