Wrap-up of fixtures played 31 July 2010 In the Northside 3 elimination semi final, Valleys led Bayside Warriors 22-4 at half time, before winning the match 50-14, scoring nine tries to three. In the major semi final, Samford led Holy Spirit 10-0 at half time, before going on to win the match 32-6, scoring six tries to one. Passing of inaugural Chairman The first Chairman of the Brisbane Second Division Rugby League, George Dziewicki, passed away on 29 July.

George was Chairman of the league from 1977 to 1981.

His funeral service will take place at the Alex Gow Funeral Chapel, 56 Breakfast Creek Road, Newstead, on Monday 2 August, commencing at 3.00 PM.

Sunnybank League community digs deep for Cancer Council Displaying a united front in the fight against cancer, players, supporters and rivals of the Souths Sunnybank Rugby League Football Club (SSRLFC) raised over $1000 for the Cancer Council through the club's Call To Arms fixture over the July 24-25 weekend. more -->

Policy with relation to wet weather and match cancellations With the current wet weather, it is timely to reiterate the League’s policy in relation to wet weather and the cancellation of matches.

Committee for 2010 The Brisbane Second Division Rugby League Committee was returned for another year at the Annual General Meeting on Tuesday 10 November 2010, with only one change. Kylie Lye stood down after two years on the Committee and has been replaced by her husband Shane. more -->
