WELCOME TO 2012 SEASON!

Badminton Hawkes Bay were successful in their grant application for funds to resurrect the Junior Academy this year...thanks to PUB CHARITY. The academy will involve a very small amount of gifted, dedicated Junior players and will employ services of local and national coaches, along with fitness experts.
SECONDARY SCHOOL BADMINTON
The 2012 weekly secondary school badminton competition has kicked off, with 85 teams competiting and 17 schools. The competition runs through to mid August, thereafter a singles and doubles tournament is held.
BADMINTON IN CENTRAL HAWKES BAY - THE RESURRECTION!
Badminton HB vice president, Kyle Tostevin has successfully resurrected badminton in Central HB. The new club named:
Central HB Badminton Club has started their club nights at the Waipukurau Memorial Hall last Wednesday. Approximately 25 - 30 people supported the opening club night and about 9 people attended the clubs AGM. Kyle is President, Sue Williams is Secretary/Tresurer and Sandie Newport is Club Captain.
TOP HB REP PLAYER - FITNESS BOOTCAMPS
Kelly Stern, who is HB's top womens player is also a personal fitness trainer. She is

CLUB INFORMATION
Meeanee and Hastings have started their club nights (Meeanee thursdays 7.30pm onwards, Hastings Wednesdays 7.30pm onwards). Napier Club will be operating out of Tamatea High School, Freyberg Ave, Tamatea from 7th March onwards.
