Whats happening this weekend??!!

This weekend(22nd/23rd June) sees alot of our Harbour teams playing at different venues accross Auckland.
We have competitions happening on Saturday and Sunday for the U15 and U17 teams that did not qualify for Nationals. This will see 14 teams compete in 2 days of tough basketball.
Saturdays games will be played at the NSEC and Sundays games will be played at the Breakers facility...more

Well done Tune Squad!!!

Congratulations to our Monday night social team winners Tune Squad. We have seen some great games over the last 11 weeks and it came down to the final between Tune Squad and DBC Cosmos. After an exciting game it was a very close result with Tune Squad coming out champs with a final score of 54-51.

Register now for July Holiday Camp!!!!

School holidays are approaching fast so why not register your child on the Harbour basketball school holiday programme???
The first week of the school holiday programme is unavailable due to the U17 Nationals being hosted at the North Shore Events Centre but the second week...22nd,23rd and 24th July sees the start of skills,drills and lots of fun!!

Megan Craig pops in to Harbour girls training for inspirational chat...

The Harbour girls were delighted when University of Albany,NY Megan Craig popped into all their basketball training sessions to sit down with them and talk about her experiences and success as a student athlete in USA.
Megan played for Harbour in 2010 and was picked up by the university and has been doing very well ever since...

Harbour U23's Men just too strong for the Australian College of Basketball

Harbour U23 men were just too strong when they met with the Australian Basketball College yesterday. The Aussies never gave up fighting in a game which saw Marco Alexander shoot 9 x '3' pointers to help the boys have a huge 104-52 victory over the Aussies.
All the Harbour U23 Men were strong and played exceptionally well..Well done boys!!!more

U17 Girls hoping for NZ call up...

Last weekend saw Georgia Perrott-Hunt and Zara Jillings travel to Porirua to partake in the U17 NZ trials. The team were entered into the WBC competition against the plate teams. Good luck girls we hope you get the call-soon!!more

Saturday 11th May sees the start of Junior Jammers/ Senior slammers basketball fun for term 2....
Basketball coaching sessions available for the beginners/Intermediate athletes.

Harbours magnificent 7 represent NZ in Brisbane!!

A HUGE 7 players have been picked to represent the U18 New Zealand teams that are playing in the State champs over in Brisbane starting 20th April. Best of luck and Congratulations to all players!more

ISAAC FOTU..BIG WEST FRESHMAN OF THE YEAR !!

A huge congratulatons to Harbour player Isaac Fotu who has been voted freshman of the year for the Big West conference for 2013. Isaac has been averaging 10 points,6.3 rebounds and leads the Hawai'i warriors with a 64.8% field goal percentage,this percentage also placing him in the top 7 in the whole NCAA competition.

Australian Youth Olympic Festival

We would like to wish Ella Fotu and Denhym Brooke our best wishes as they travel to Sydney to particiapate in the 2013 Australian Youth Olympic festival in 3x3 basketball.A great achievement.
The tournament has 1,700 competitors covering 17 sports from 30 nations and runs from the 16th-20th January.

Junior Jammers/Senior Slammers 2013 - Terms 1 to 4

Junior Jammers 2013 commences 2 February at the YMCA, Akoranga Drive.
This year we will return the programme to its original 9am slot. Both age groups will be 9 to 10am this year. This would be a great opportunity to polish up on skills and drills and get to the level you really want to aim for. Great coaches and a great time awaits...join now!!!more

North Harbour players were prominent at the 2012 FIBA Oceania Men’s and Women’s Under 19 Championships held in Porirua last week. The three games series were both won by Australia but not before they were tested by their New Zealand opponents.more
