The Basketball SA district competition is South Australia's elite representative basketball competition, involving male and female junior and senior club teams.
The senior competitions includes two seasons - a Summer season which runs from September to March, and a Winter season which runs from March to September.
The top division of the State League is called the Central Australian Basketball League. The winning men's and women's teams of of the Central ABL participate in the Australian Club Championships.
The junior competitions also run over two seasons - a Summer season which runs from October to March, and a Winter season which runs from from March to September. Both competitions include over 40 divisions from Under 10s to Under 20s.
