A big VINAKA VAKALEVU to Olympic Solidarity for the financial support for the Fiji Games and to all competitors and the participating National Federations for the organisation of competition for each sport.

The final medal tally sees Suva dominating with 68 Gold, 74 Silver and 52 Bronze.

New Zealand Invite for Duo After Fiji Games

After a successful bodybuilding contest at the Fiji Games, overall winner, current reigning Mr. Fiji Vonoriti Radua, and Head Judge, Tumeli Navutovuto have been invited to take part in the New Zealand national bodybuilding championships in Auckland in October.

The final event of the XIII Fiji Games has ended - that of the Billiards & Snooker Teams event. Suva took out the Gold with Nadi Silver and Nausori Bronze.

DAY 2 was another successful day for the STOP HIV Team despite the wet weather condition.

The STOP HIV Team started their Day 1 campaign for the Fiji Games by attending the official opening ceremony at Yat Sen Secondary School Hall.

Beach Volleyball got off to a good start today with representation from around the country.

Basketball competition will be hotly contested by teams representing the districts of Ba, Lautoka, Nadi, Navua, Nasinu, Korovou and Suva.

Hockey hits off at the National Hockey Turf today, Friday 10 May at 5.30pm. The first game sees Nausori Women take on Suva with Leuvuka challenging Savusavu women at 6.20p.m.

Karate was the first sport to start in the 2013 Fiji Games. Their competition got underway at 9am at the Yat Sen Hall with the Senior Female Kata event....

FASANOC Headquarters staff have been very busy finalsinig the programs with the participating sports for the XIII Fiji Games that commences tomorrow, Friday 10 May.

A detailed program is attached outlining the various sports by time and date.

Netball Fiji is looking forward to an intense one-day competition on Saturday at the Fiji Sports Council's Multipurpose Courts at Laucala Bay. Suva, Nasinu, Korovou, Nausori, Nadroga and Navosa have registered teams for the round robin competition with the top 2 teams playing off for gold and silver and the 3rd and 4th ranked teams to play off for the bronze.

At this weekend's FIJI GAMES the STOP HIV team will be conducting outreach programs to the 25 National Federations that will be participating this year.

The FASANOC STOP HIV Team had a busy week at Levuka from April 22 - 29, 2013, covering 3 secondary schools, 6 primary schools and 6 villages, conducting awareness on HIV & AIDS.

Weightlifting Fiji's Assistant National Coach, Paula Peniasi Taqua returned this week from Switzerland after successfully completing the ICECP. The Program was offered by the University of Delaware in partnership with the United States Olympic Committee and the International Olympic Committee who also assisted in funding Paula's scholarship.

STOP HIV team travelled to Nadroga / Navosa schools to educate youths and students about HIV /AIDS & STI and other NCD. The Outreach was successful with the help of Ministry of Health ,Ministry of Education , FJN+ & NSAAC.

The STOP HIV Team was invited by FASANOC to be part of the Career Expo organized by International School and it was held at the school hall.

FASANOC ALL STARS Netball Team qualified in the top 4 of the Business House Netball Finals and finished as Runners-Up of the Plate Division. After an exciting second quarter of 6 all against the Ministry of Youth and Sports they were beaten in the end by 11-15 at last night's finals.

Team Fiji is preparing this week for its Team Fiji Athletes & Officials Team Assembly.

Team Fiji participating in the next major sporting event where the athletes will take part in the 9th Pacific Mini Games being held in Wallis & Futuna from 02nd – 12th September, 2013. All the 22 member nations of the Pacific Mini Games Council will be taking part in these Games. The Fiji contingent will number around 136 athletes and officials.
