Berkeley Vale Touch Operations Manager wins Administrator Award.

At the recent Annual NSWTA Blues Dinner held last Saturday night at Bankstown Sports Club, Berkeley Vale Rugby League & Sports Club Touch Operations Manager Shayne Hayne was awarded Administrator of the Year in the Hunter Western Region. This award capped off a memorable day with Shayne, along with Mark O'Hagan and Greg Jacklin being awarded Life Membership of the Berkeley Vale Rugby League & Sports Club at the Junior Rugby League Presentation earlier that day for his work done through Touch Football and for Junior League Club. Although Shayne didn't go onto win the Major NSWTA Administrator of the year, to be recognised as the best Touch Administrator in the Hunter Western area is a fantastic achievement for him and the Club. The Hunter western area is the largest Region in NSWT which stems from the east coast between Central Coast and Nelson Bay right through to Broken Hill.

The Berkeley Vale Touch Club was also one of four nominees for the Affiliate of the year in the Hunter Western Region along with Dubbo Touch who were the eventual NSWTA Affiliate of the Year winners.

The Berkeley Vale Club was extremely proud and honoured to have received the nominations which validates and recognises the hard work our volunteers have done over the years to get the club to its current standing within the touch community.

For further information or comment, please contact our Touch Operations Manager, Shayne, on 0407 208 769 or email touch@bvpanthers.com.au

Grand Final results

Well another season of mixed touch over with. We made a few minor changes to the format and i think everyone seam to enjoy it with a lot more competitive games being played and not to many one sided score lines. We introduced an Open men's and Women's only comp this season which proved to be a very good success. Hopefully next season it will attract more teams and it will be played on a Tuesday night. Also the family comp was still a big winner with 5 teams participating in a tight competition. May I congratulate all teams for their participation this season as well as their sportsmanship shown throughout the whole competition. We didn't have very many complaints about any referees so that is a good base to start from. While talking about referees, a big thankyou to all our young referees and not so young referees who turned up each week to referee. To have triples on pretty much all games each week is a blessing for our competition and to our referees. A job well done to them all. Thankyou to everyone who helped out with the BBQ each week especially after xmas when there was no one rostered on to do it. Finally well done to all the grandfinal teams for the great display of touch that was shown on the night. Its a pity we have to have a winner and a runner up because everyone should consider themselves a winner this season.

Unregistered players

Attention all teams

Please be reminded that players are only permitted to play in one team in each of the Berkeley Vale Mixed, Family and Open Mens/Womens competitions. Not only that all players must be turning 17 in 2013 to be eligible to play. Teams found to be playing players under age or allowing players that are registered in other teams to play because they are short then they will gain penalty points. The points double each time this happens.

If a team is short then they must play short or forfiet. Once it is a forfeit then other players can play. If a team forfeits 3 games in a season then the team will be pulled out of the competition and there will be no refund.

If a team continually doesn't abide by the rules set down by the Berkeley Vale Rugby League & Sports Club then teams will be removed from the competition. No refund.

Please do the right thing by playing the correct age players and only the nominated registered players that were submitted on your team sheets.

I will be going around watching teams as well as the Referee's have been told to let me know if they see any under age players or players that they have seen playing two games on the night.

You will be caught.
