TONGA SWIMMING BECOMES A MEMBER OF FINA The Tonga Swimming Association (TSA) has become the 202nd affiliated member of the International Federation for Swimming (FINA). The decision was made during FINA Bureau meeting last week in Bangkok, Thailand.

New Caledonia 2011 Pacific Games Organising Committee visit the Kingdom A three-member delegate from the New Caledonia 2011 Pacific Games Organizing Committee will be visiting the Kingdom. Mrs Pascale Bathien Thiry, President of the NC2011 Organizing Committee and Mrs Helen Wabete, Chairperson of the Protocol Commission, will be joined by Mr David Boyd, Secretary General for the Pacific Games Council will be visiting Tonga from the 24th-25th April. more -->
Dr, 'Amanaki Fakakovikaetau, Chef De Mission for PMG 2009 and Delhi 2010 The TASA Executive Board also approved the appointment of one of its Executive member, Dr ‘Amanaki Fakakovikaetau as the Chef de Mission for the upcoming Pacific Mini Games in the Cook Islands in September/October and the Commonwealth Games to be held in New Delhi, India during October 2010.
Dr Fakakovikaetau is a Senior Dental Officer with the Tonga Ministry of Health Dental division. He is currently the Secretary General for the Tonga Tennis Association. more -->
