Through hard work, the Cardiff JRL comittee have advanced to Level three in the Good Sports program. They are the only junior Club in the Hunter Region at this level,also the only Rugby League Club in NSW. They were also nominated for junior club of the year 2010 in the Hunter New England Area.
They were presented with an award last weekend by the Good Sports team with the Lord Mayor in attendance for the event.

A gallant Newcastle Rebels Under 18s side has advanced to the Final of the AAMI Country Divisional Championships with a hard fought 24-18 victory today over Central Hunter Power at Resco Park Singleton.
Down 18-10 at half time and having had a player dismissed, the boys showed real tenacity in the second half to keep their opposition scoreless.
Tries today to Joshua Morrison (2), Nephi Hamon, Steve Widders and Ryan Wood with Steve Widders kicking 2 goals.
The side will now travel to Albury on Thursday to play the Western Rams in the Final as a curtain raiser to the City-Country fixture next Friday night May 6 2011.
