The Western Basketball Association's vision is to become a World Class Association.

The Western Basketball Association of Ghana exists to be a belonging community committed to the work of caring for people, transforming lives and reforming society, in the context of engaging people in their passion for basketball.

The Association shall strive to achieve this mission by:

* Facilitating a competition that allows people to engage in clean, healthy sports activities      within The Western Region.

* Cordinating and mobilizing public and private resources for the construction of Basketball courts in the densely populated communities within the Western Region.

* Providing an opportunity for Clubs to develop connections with their local community, engaging people with their passion for basketball.

* Unearthing talents of both sexes to help improve their skills in Basketball.

* Using basketball as an alternative source of entertainment and to keep the youth from engaging in social vices.

* Providing an opportunity for schools to develop connections with other schools, engaging students with their passion for basketball.

* Assisting Clubs in developing player's character and mental maturity.

* Providing opportunities for Clubs to engage in sports activities that reform society.
