Australia: South Dragons, potentiatlly the biggest turnaround in NBL history?
So, the South Dragons have bottomed out, on the court anyway, and things they are a changin'. Enter Brian Goorian, recently touted as perhaps Australia's best coach of any sporting code at the helm. Along with Goorjian came boomer's players Jason Smith returning home, and Mark Worthington, along with a couple of strategic import signings we could be looking at a complete turnaround and a team that can even possibly push for the title.
Would this be the first time a team has won the title after coming last the previous season?

I guess it is a big turnaround at massive cost to the NBL. The Sydney Kings seem to be in dire straights (along with Brisbane). Will be interesting to see how it manifests in the next NBL season.

It seems that the licence for the Kings has been purchased pending approval from the other league GM's. However, the new owner won't be liable for existing debt - and has already said that he wants the Razorbacks disbanded!

NBL season is in turmoil before it even starts.
Dragons will do well, but the league is going to be without Sydney and possibly evgen Brisbane for next season.

I'm a Tiger fan and the Dragons don't scare me. Jason Smith was let go by the dragons a while back. They will have to improve with all the talent they've got but time will tell if they will contend for the championship. Having the talent and putting it together on the floor are two completely different things.
