Team Vanuatu to Olympic Games Team Vanuatu to the 2008 Olympic Games will be departing Vila on Monday 4 August 2008 for Beijing, China.

The Team consists of athletes, Moses Kamut and Elis Lapenmal in Athletics and Priscila Tommy in Table-Tennis. Accompanying them are Coaches Denison Tari, Sun Hongyi and Anolyn Lulu.

Itte Detenamo, Nauru's only athlete to Beijing. Itte Detenamo, 21 year old, super heavyweight (105+kg category) has been confirmed as the lifter and only athlete who will represent Nauru at next month's Olympic Games.

This decision was made by the Nauru Olympic Committee, following a final trial test held at the Oceania Weightlifting Institute in Noumea, New Caledonia, between Yukio Peter 77kg category and Itte Detenamo 105+kg category. more -->
