Canterbury Hockey Commence Identification Of New Facilities Staff

With the imminent retirements of both Peter Seymour and Bill Lynn, the Canterbury Hockey Association (CHA) is seeking applications from individuals interested in employment in four roles that are being advertised. It is the intent of CHA to only appoint to two of these positions, with the decision as to which two dependent on the suitability of applicants.

Development Edge To Black Sticks Men's Team Selected For Argentina Challenge

Nick Haig is the only Canterbury player selected in the New Zealand team to contest the Champions Challenge in Salta, Argentina next month. Other regular Canterbury players, brothers Brad and Hayden Shaw, have both opted to stay home and fulfil work commitments.

SPARC Investment Boost Welcomed By Hockey New Zealand

As a result of a highly successful year by the New Zealand Women's team, SPARC will provide in 2010 $650,000 of additional funding, as well as $100,000 in service credits to enable provision of sports science services to the athletes via the Academy of Sport.

Canterbury Under 21 Summer Training Program - Commences November 17

The Canterbury Hockey Association is delivering a Summer Training Program for all players, male and female, that are interested in trialing for the 2010 Canterbury Under 21 teams. The first session of this program is to take place on Tuesday, November 17 at Porritt Park, and will include an information session about the Program.

New Zealand Community Trust Grant To Canterbury Hockey

The Canterbury Hockey Association has received a grant of $20,000 from the New Zealand Community Trust to support costs incurred in leasing the hockey fields at Porritt Park and Nunweek Park from the Canterbury Artificial Surfaces Trust.
