Welcome to Maryborough-Castlemaine Umpires Group Web site.
We would like to acknowledge our major sponsor - Macks Fashion and Surf, 160 High Street Marborough.
Our group umpires in the Maryborough Castlemaine District Football Netball League and also help out with junior matches in Bendigo Junior Football League, which has Castlemaine and Maryborough teams in it.
We are currently looking for new central and boundary umpires. Just because you have not played football before doesn't mean you can't be an umpire. It just means that you will need a little extra training.
Boundary umpires generally need to be at least thirteen years of age and have a reasonable level of fitness. Transport to matches is normally arranged with central umpires and the pay is quite good - around $50 per match.
Being a central umpire is a good way to keep involved with the game for those who have finished playing footy. It is much easier on the body and can be just as rewarding as playing. The pay is quite good ranging from $63 for under 17 matches, $71 for Reserves and $114 for Seniors.
If you are interested in becoming an umpire contact -
