At last.....

How lucky were we with the weather last night? - it was good to get Semis and Finals all over and done with on one night - thank you all for your patience. Now we need the weather to be kind so we can go ahead with the Grand Finals on Friday night.
Games will be at 6.30pm and 7.30pm with presentations to follow second time slot.

Semi Finals and Finals are on tonight March 18

I have permission to use Hepburn Park tonight (even though the grounds are closed) if there is no heavy rain this afternoon. Please keep an eye on this site as well as call me on 0412257073 or 66242835 (clubhouse) after 5pm if there is any doubt.

Final Series

Semi finals are planned for Monday 11th, but if the grounds remain closed, the committee have decided on the following options:
Semis and Finals on Monday 18th (30 minute games), Grand Finals Friday 22nd as planned.
Plan B will be Semi and Finals Friday 22nd and Grand Finals Monday 25th. Catch up games not possible while grounds are closed. Enquiries to Jenny 0412257073

Abuse of Referees - Zero Tolerance

The Committee wish to remind players and supporters that abuse of referees will not be tolerated under any circumstances. Complaints will be accepted by mail only, certainly not as a heated discussion in the club house after the game. Threats to sorts things out after the game etc. will also be dealt with harshly.

Grand Final results

Grand Finals were conducted on 30.3.2012 and clear skies allowed for some entertaining games in all divisions. Thank to all who assisted especially Janelle McAnelly, Lisa Brown, Kylie Davis and Derek Daly in the canteen and Harry Brown, Lachie Brown and Mark McAnelly on the BBQ. Thank also to Peter and Trish Wooldridge, Doug McFarlane, Steve Brown, Linda McFarlane and Leanne Albertini.

Club awards were announced during the presentions:

The Clae Webb Memorial Trophy for Representative Player of the year was presented to Lisa Brown by Mook Harrington. Lisa has represented Lismore Touch for many years and is a driving force in our Senior Mixed Team. Lisa said she was humbled to receive the award, especially as Clae was a special friend.

The Club Person Award was presented to the Wooldridge family for all the work they do in regards to the Competition, Website and data management and general support - there is an enormous amount of work which is time consuming and not evident to the players.

Harry Brown, Malachi Joseph and Bailey Veitch were presented with Referees Encouragement Awards, and non playing referees Steve Sun, Will Palmer and Al Thomas were presented with a gift

The Geoff Irwin Memorial Trophy for the Masters Competition was presented by Annette Irwin to Moons Maulers (3) who  defeated Bolt Barn (1) in an exciting game, John Love was named player of the match.

Mixed A: Tommy's 6 defeated C A Autos 1 - Players of the match were Hayley De Le-Mare and Reece Smith

Mixed B: First Sun 9 defeated Mick Sawtell Magic 2

Mixed C: Red Rockets 10 defeated TWD Team 4

Mixed D: Summerland Antiques 7 defeated Look Don't Touch 6 in a drop off

Mixed E: Rod Lees Cabinets 3 defeated AJM Airconditioning 2 in a drop off

Mixed F: Thrillbillies 10 defeated Rous Hotel 5

Mixed G: Inappropriately Touched 10 defeated Multiple Scorgasm 5

Mixed H: Bank of Queensland 4 defeated The Gumps 2
