ACT Girls 12's - No training tonight (Wed 14th July 2010)
The ACT Girls 12's team has the night off from training tonight, due to the ACT Sportsgrounds being closed. Coach Gabe Hodges will see you all out at the fields for Sunday training, from 3-4pm this Sunday (18th July, 2010), and from 2-3pm for the Sunday sessions following this weekend.

Health has a Successful NAIDOC Touch Carnival
After an early morning frost, the sun beat down on 24 public service teams competing in the NAIDOC Touch Carnival at Deakin today (Wed 7th July 2010). The public servants were out in force playing 5 pool matches, before the top 2 teams from each pool began the finals series. In the end, DOHA 1 (Health) came out on top with a 6-5 dropoff win over the classy ASC side.

ACT Girls 15's coach Chris Tarlinton has announced the team to compete at the School Sport Australia Championships in Canberra in October.
Frank Curran: New ACT Coordinator for the 'Alliance' team
Frank Curran has been announced as the new ACT Coordinator for the inaugural 'Alliance' team, that will play in the 'Elite 8' competition of the revitalised National Touch League (NTL), beginning in 2011.

ACT Under 15's Girls Squad Announced
ACT Touch is delighted to announce the initial squad for the ACT Under 15's Girls representative team. The squad will be narrowed down to a final team on Sunday, June 27th, and this team will go on to participate in the 15’s Schools Touch Championships on 24-29 October, 2010, at Deakin, ACT.

Referees Needed - Deakin Mondays
If you are a referee and are free on a Monday night, we need you! Monday Nights at Deakin (6pm and 6:50pm) have had referee shortages over the past 3 weeks. ACT Boys High School Day
Glorious weather greeted the players and referees at the Boys High School Day. The day kicked off at 9.15am and concluded by 3pm. Melrose High School proved to good in both division (Year 7/8 & 9/10. In a close fought 7/8 Final Melrose overcame Lyneham High school in a drop off and in the Year 9/10 final Melrose 2 were victorious over the faniced St Francis Xavier 5-3. Cancellation of AGM
On 6 April 2010 the ACTTA Board of Management met and resolved to cancel the 2008-09 AGM that had been scheduled for 10 April 2010. The new date for the AGM will be determined and advised in due course. In the interim, Touch Football Australia will meet with constituent clubs on 8 April 2010 to outline and provide an update on the steps currently being taken to move ACTTA into the national structure, including the formation of the ACT State Council, which will have responsibility for the strategic direction of Touch in the ACT into the future.

ACTTA 2009 Superleague Champions
The 2009 ACTTA Superleague Champions were decided last night.
UC Otters Men's took at the Men's final with a hard fought win over Tuggeranong Vikings 7-5. Canberra City Women's had to take it to the dying minutes of the game to get over Woden Eagles 7-5.
