This weekend Darebin Falcons premiership player Sarah Hammond will play her 200th VWFL game.
The competition veteran has played in the competition for 15 years, starting with Melbourne University, followed by St Kilda and she is now in her 10th season at Darebin.
Darebin President Julia Chiera said that Hammond has had an impact on the club both on and off the field.
"Hammo is a beloved fixture of our club - she is an absolute stalwart who has made significant contributions, on-field and off, over many years to the Falcons family,” Chiera said.
“Approaching her 200th game she has shown no signs of complacency or slowing down and can match the key players in the competition in strength and fitness."
Hammond is a six time Victorian representative player, and has been a part of an outstanding nine VWFL premierships over her career to date.
Next week on the VWFL website we will feature a story on the Falcons legend, looking at her career as a professional handball player before tackling aussie rules.
