Darebin Falcons’ Daisy Pearce has created history in the VWFL with her sixth Premier Division best and fairest award.
Pearce received her third straight Helen Lambert Medal, adding to honours in 2009, 2010 and 2011 to see her pass competition greats Debbie Lee and Shannon McFerran from St Albans Spurs with the most Medal wins.
Seaford’s Kate Gillespie Jones won the Division 1 Fraser Griffiths Medal claiming back to back competition best and fairests, adding to her Division 2 Kate Lawrence Medal in 2014.
In the 2015 Kate Lawrence Medal, Montmorency’s Brooke Lochland added a division best and fairest to her Grand Final best on ground taking out the Division 2 title.
In Division 3 it was back to back titles for Deer Park’s Samantha Radlof, this year however sharing the title with Mordialloc’s Natalie Cardomone, who also had the honour of being the division’s leading goalkicker.
In Division 4, Adele Brazenor came out on top, beating a number of her teammates to the best and fairest award.
In East Division, new club Ajax might have missed out on the premiership, but Toni Hamilton was able to hold off a host of Gippsland players win the new divisions top honour.
