The Mornington District Basketball Association makes a commitment to the following principles relating to equity and inclusiveness for all.

These code of conduct has been developed by Basketball Victoria to give participants some guide to the expectations it has on those participants. It is intended to assist everyone to obtain the maximum benefit and enjoyment from their involvement in basketball.

Any breakers coach who wishes to up-grade their qualification to level 1 or level 2 will be reimbursed by the club under the following conditions:

The intent of this policy is to match all players to a team that is challenging, competitive, and allows for the growth of the individual.

This procedure refers to:
A/ misconduct of members, and the action the Committee of Management (COM) of the MDBA will take to deal with this.
B/ receipt of complaints, and how the members may appeal.

First & Final Warning Letter

It is the objective of the Club, and the responsibility of the Director of Coaching and Breakers Committee, specifically, to recruit and maintain a quality coaching staff.

The Mornington District Basketball Association is conscious of its obligations to players and parent in the conduct of the teams under its control.

The Association adopts a principle that girls over the age of 12 should generally play in a girl’s competition.

The Association strives to meet the needs of those players who show commitment and skills by providing participation in an elite semi professional basketball competition namely the Big V.

Playing squads consist of a minimum twelve (12) players and can be added to at any time, a MDBA requirement were possible is that eight (8) players are nominated as players from the MDBA competitions.

Conflicts of interest arise when a board, committee or staff member has a personal interest which may conflict with the best interests of the organisation.

The Mornington District Basketball Association recognises that in circumstances where religious and cultural beliefs conflict with the standard dress code, that modification to the standard uniform may be required.
