Point scoring machine Travis Ellis included in Players Honour Board with 307 games played!
Travis Ellis from the Tracy Village Jets has moved into fourth place all time in points scored with 6731 points from 307 League games. Travis has leapfrogged team mate Michael MacLean who is now in fifth place with 6677 for a 13.9 average while Ellis is way ahead of everyone on the DBA Players Honour Board with 21.9 points per game. Travis has built up his mammoth total in just 24 seasons of competition since he first stepped on court for a League game with the Jets back in the 1999 Challenge Season. During the next ten years Travis stamped his authority on the game by becoming an integral part of the Tracy Village Jets men’s League team, a point scorer of note and a high flying rebounder as well. Travis led the League in scoring from the 2003 Challenge Season through the 2005 Challenge season and then for three and a half years straight from 2006 to 2009! Impressive statistics indeed and the highlight would be the 556 points scored from 18 games (30.8 points per game) in the 2008 Challenge Season along with a League record 62 points in one game! Travis has led the League in scoring ten times during his career and was chosen as a co-MVP in the 2009 Championship Season. A point of reference regarding the achievement that Travis has accomplished would be the effort of Warrior Alex Hamriding. Alex leads the League in games played with 641 and points scored with 7421…do the maths. And Travis is only 2000 points behind DBA all time leading scorer Jeff Larson.
