U14 Girls Snare First Win at National Championship
The NT North Geckos scored a 3 point win in over time against SA side Woodville to secure their first win of the tournament. The Geckos, trailing for most of the last quarter, levelled the score with seconds to go to force the game into overtime.
Following coach Brian Lawrie's game plan to the tee, the girls strong defence and fast transition play enabled them to win a thrilling game.
Rickelle Parfitt (15 pts) and Lauren Flanegan (14 pts) were outstanding for the Geckos.
