The inaugural Wide Bay Primary Schools Girls 9-a-side Rugby League Carnival was recently held at Stafford Park, Hervey Bay over 2 days. Following trials in their respective Zones (over 200 girls in total trialled), 11 representative teams were selected to participate. All teams trained over a 4 week period with coaches concentrating on tackle technique and basic game awareness.

Queensland will again feature prominently in another national Rugby League side in 2011, after 13 players were named from north of the Tweed in the Australian Jillaroos side to tour Samoa.

Women's All Stars a great success
Skilled Park was the stage set for the inaugural Womens Indigenous v All Stars game on Saturday Februyary 12th. The teams certainly did not disapoint and provided a great display of skill and talent in a very competitive contest.
