Venue Information
Club de Petanque d'Adelaide is set in the South Parklands that surround the city of Adelaide. The modest clubrooms look out towards the CBD, but through the green filter of native trees. The playing surface is fine grey dolomite, with about 20 pistes available.
Prospect Petanque is set amid suburban homes, being formerly a ladies bowling club. It provides a variety of playing surfaces - sand, small gravel, crushed dolomite and coarse ground. It has 18 pistes.
Eastern Suburbs is also set in suburbia, but close to one of Adelaide trendy shopping areas, Unley Road. Part of a sports club, the pistes are covered with crushed red house bricks, making for a surface conducive to "plombing". There are 16 pistes alongside lawn bowls, tennis and croquet grounds.
