Good Luck to our Under 14 Girls

The U14 Girls are off to the National Club Championships. As NSW Country Champions they will be one of 4 teams representing the State against the best U14 Womens teams from around Australia. The tournament is being held in Hobart during the first week of the school holidays so the girls are bracing themselves for a return to winter conditions.

The week in Hobart will be a fitting end to a massive season for the girls, coaching staff and parents. Apart from all the games, training and travelling the team has raised nearly $10 000 to fund the trip. Players, parents, grand parents, committee members and the CHBA community have all contributed to the cause which has been a great community effort. All the best to the girls, Coach Les Gough, Manager Michelle Wilmott and Assistant Coach Connie Woods. The team is Scout Bourke (c), Tessa Croxton, Jordi Woods, Sarah Wilmott, Lizzy Tonks, Rani Lowry, Kiara Furner, Rebecca Black, Liz Laurie and Ellie Hewitt.

The girls play Townsville (Qld) first up on Monday morning followed by the strong Forestville (S.A) outfit that afternoon. The team only has one game on Tuesday which is against Bendigo (Vic). The results of these games will decide their place in their pool. After the pool games, the teams will play a series of games from Wednesday to Friday which will determine their overall tournament ranking. The Finals will be held on Saturday 2nd October.

Watch out for updates that will keep you posted on game results, highlights and adventures in Tassie.
