Coffs Harbour Basketball hosted a level 1 coaching course last weekend which resulted in 23 coaches gaining their National level 1 coaching accreditation. Under the supervision of NSWBA's Neil Gibson, basketball coaches from Byron Bay, Ballina, Taree and Bellingen joined 15 local coaches at the course.

Development Officer Darren Thomas said "Neil Gibson was delighted with the participation and standard of the candidates.  He was particularly pleased to see the course run for coaches from throughout the region, and not just Coffs Harbour.  Neil is keen to return to Coffs for future courses, so we may try to organise modules from the level 2 course in Coffs Harbour in the future."
