Players dribble in by the hundreds for Odd Age

Sportz Central was alive to the familiar sounds of bouncing balls, whistles and coaching instructions last Sunday when almost 300 players attended the Odd Age season trials. The response was again a remarkable one for CHBA, and with this large number of participants, the association might field as many as 29 Odd Age teams this year.

The 2007 Off Age season will run for 7 weeks, and will include participation at the Coffs Harbour, Port Macquarie and Grafton Odd Age carnivals.

Thanks to those parents have volunteered as assistant coaches and managers for the Odd Age season.  A special thanks to a number of current and former junior representative players who have taken on assistant coach roles.  These people include Ben Slater, Ashleigh Markham, Nick Hughes, Trent Freebody and Simon Cross.
