The hangovers have barely settled after their win in this year's AFL Cairns grand final but Cairns Saints have wasted no time appointing James Coatsworth head coach for 2010.
The 2008 Crathern Medallist takes over from dual premiership winning coach Mark Kennedy, who announced earlier this year he would step down from his mentoring duties at the end of the season.
Coatsworth was an assistant coach and player in the 2008 Saints premiership team, but missed the 2009 season after spending most of the year overseas.
The 26-year-old arrived back in Australia two months ago but headed home to Western Victoria where he turned out for North Central Football League club Wycheproof-Narraport.
But the skilful on-baller always planned to return to Cairns next season with the Saints job on offer.
