Coaches are fussy at the best of times, but Port Douglas mentor Andy Viola had trouble finding fault with his side's 73-point thrashing of Centrals Trinity Beach at Crathern Oval on Saturday.
The AFL Cairns ladder-leaders looked every bit like the competition benchmarks, as they have been labelled by opposition coaches, on their way to a comfortable 20.12 (132) to 9.5 (59) victory.
Viola, who led Port Douglas to their last premiership in 2005, said the Bulldogs were one of the league's prized scalps.
"It wasn't our prettiest performance but to get a result like that against quality opposition was great," he said.
"We've got a pretty basic game plan that everyone is privy to and we had a really big pre-season working on our skills and fitness and that's starting to pay off.
