His side have won the AFL Cairns minor premiership, not lost a game all season and administered more whippings than a Melbourne Cup jockey in the home straight at Flemington.
But Port Douglas captain Evan Hocking says his team’s domination of the regular season will count for nothing if they do not carry it through September.
The Crocs play reigning premiers Cairns Saints in the second semi-final at Cazalys tomorrow.
The winners qualify for the grand final, while the losers must rely on their second chance to make the season decider.
The Crocs have belted out their team song every Saturday this season and Hocking said his teammates were not ready to rest their singing voices yet
"I think all the boys are pretty switched on and realise all the hard work starts now," he said.
"What we’ve done so far this year doesn’t really count for anything if we don’t perform well these next three weeks.
"I didn’t expect us to be sitting where we are now at the start of the season.
‘‘I think that’s credit to all the boys who have come on board and Andy (coach Andy Viola) and the way we’ve jelled as a team."
While the Crocs remain unbeaten this season, the team that did push them closest to defeat were the Saints.
Last time the sides played was in Round 19, and the Crocs only led by five points at halftime before kicking away to win by four goals.
