AFL Cairns is urging fans to buy their tickets now and avoid disappointment considering more than 70 per cent of tickets have already been sold for the historic July 16 AFL premiership clash between the Gold Coast and Richmond at Cazalys.
Almost 8000 of the 11,000 tickets, including all the grandstand seats, have been purchased already and there is high chance there will be none remaining come game day.
“People need to get them now because they may find there won’t be any when they stroll up to Cazalys on the day,” AFL Cairns boss Gary Young said. “We want to be telling people on the Wednesday or Thursday that the tickets are gone, we don’t want disappointed people being turned away on the Saturday.”
