The Gold Coast Suns announce their line-up today for their game against Richmond in Cairns — and it could mark a significant homecoming for the club’s Far Northern talent. Jarrod Harbrow, who joined the new AFL club from the Western Bulldogs, is expected to be a certain starter.
And McKenna yesterday said Charlie Dixon, who has begun to establish himself as an AFL forward, will also play at Cazalys. Cape York product Rex Liddy is also hopeful of getting his chance.
At training on the Gold Coast yesterday, McKenna said he would be extending the opportunity to as many players as possible.
"What we want to do is give most of the boys a chance," McKenna said. "So Charlie will play, obviously Jarrod Harbrow will go up there, Rex Liddy has had a good three or four weeks in the seconds so he’s certainly given himself a chance of playing.
