Woree and Trinity Bay have stamped themselves as the teams to beat after the inaugural under 15 girls high school AFL competition kicked off on Tuesday. Four high schools, Woree, Trinity Bay, St Monica’s and Redlynch, will compete in the competition which culminates in finals on October 11.
Next year, the under-16 girls will play club football in the AFL Cairns junior competition for the first time. Any girls who are interested in joining can contact AFL development manager Eddie Skiba on 0402 116 614.
