Manunda coach Fiona Sharp is expecting mind games to dominate today’s semi-final preview against North Cairns Tigers. With both coaches eyeing next fortnight’s semi-final showdown, Sharp expects a tactical affair to be played out at Watsons Oval.
“We won’t be showing them everything,” Sharp said. “We’ll be trying a few things to see how they work. And I don’t expect them to show us everything either.”
That does not mean she will accept a loss. Sharp said a win over the Tigers would be a big psychological blow for the team.
“They’ll be looking to keep their undefeated record,” she said. “I know that’s very important for them and last year we were able to beat them before the finals, and I think that motivated them. But for us, we want to show them we can beat them.”
