DEAN Uebergang is not one for personal milestones, which is why he had no idea until a couple of weeks ago he was closing in on his 200th game for North Cairns.
The 37-year-old will notch his double century in the Tigers' AFL Cairns reserve grade clash against Port Douglas in the tourist town tomorrow.
It`s an achievment worthy of celebration but don`t expect Uebergang to indulge in too much fanfare.
"It`s just another game,” Uebergang said.
"I didn't realise it was going to be my 200th until someone from the committee tapped me on the shoulder.
"I first came up to Cairns in 1998, so it's taken a few years to get there. There's been some missed games and some injuries in between.
"I'm not really big into milestones and things like that, but it's been a pleasure to play all those games.”
Uebergang is especially proud to achieve the feat at the one club.
The Tigers have been through some difficult times the past eight years, but Uebergang was never tempted to change his stripes.
"It's just a really good club to play footy at,” Uebergang said of the Tigers.
"I was a one-club person when I was down in Victoria and that's the sort of person I am.
"If I find a club I like, I sort of stick to it like glue, even when things aren't going well and we're not winning.
"I've made a lot of friends here over the years and have really enjoyed my time.”
