Suns fans rest assured. Captain Gary Ablett is all but certain to return from a calf injury and lead his side as they attempt to clean-sweep Richmond in Cairns on Saturday.
Ablett has been integral in both wins at Cazalys against the Tigers and was in blinding form until ruled out of last Saturday's clash against Brisbane at the 11th hour after scans revealed inflammation around his calf.
Indications were yesterday that he would make the trip north to Cairns, as the Suns look to heap more misery on the Tigers after two gutting defeats in the past two years.
But Karmichael Hunt - the hero in last year's victory with a goal after the siren - is set to be overlooked despite proving he was over a minor calf strain at training yesterday.
Ablett trained away from the main group yesterday but did enough to press his claims for selection and the skipper will be named in the starting squad today as long as he pulls up well this morning.
Ablett was withdrawn from last Saturday's clash against Brisbane at the 11th hour after scans revealed inflammation around his calf.
He has improved steadily this week and shapes as a cruical inclusion for the injury-stricken Suns.
Meanwhile, defender Seb Tape is certain to be named in his first senior match since rupturing the anterior cruciate in his right knee against North Melbourne in round 12 last year.
It's a just reward for Tape, who has slowly built his confidence and fitness back up in the reserves.
