More than 50 players and partners will return to Crathern Park tomorrow to celebrate the 40th anniversary of Centrals' 1973 premiership when the present side takes on South Cairns.
It also marks the 20-year anniversary of their 1993 premiership, with many of that team set to play against the Cairns Masters later in the day.
Despite the seniors side enduring some mighty hidings this season, they are still in the hunt for fourth spot.
Centrals football manager Daryl O'Reilly hopes the gathering will inspire the side past Souths, just a like it did when Cutters held a similar milestone celebration earlier this season.
"It should be close to our best side on the park all season, so hopefully the crowd can help them over the line," he said.
Just one win behind the pace for the all-important fourth spot, the Bulldogs need to beat the likes of Souths, Manunda and Cairns City Lions to retain any hope of featuring in the semi-finals.
"We're still a sniff, so a win here is certainly needed," he said.
"But the best thing is we've already had talks about next season, got some networks in place and have our off-field structure sorted.
"Things are on the go."
The seniors play from 3pm, with the 1973 lunch and presentation starting at 1.30pm
