Percentages could come into play to decide the last spot up for grabs in the AFL Cairns finals series.
It is something aleady weighing on South Cairns president Lance Dixon's mind, despite his side having five games left to play this season.
Up against Saints this weekend, he said they would be doing their best to protect their superior percentage (77.79) to rival clubs Manunda (69.62) and Centrals (56.13).
"That will be important, and we need to beat Hawks and Lions along the way," Dixon said.
"Having made the top four last year it'd be good to be back in there again; you don't want to go backwards with a young team."
The club raised more than $2000 for local youth homeless service Harald's House at their annual charity game earlier this season.
