South Cairns will relish their chance to play the league's best tomorrow, up against North Cairns at Watsons Oval.
Player-coach Daniel Lock has put the war cry out around the club for players to put their best foot forward and see how they matchup against the might of the Tigers.
In the hunt for a semi-final appearance, an upset win would do the side wonders. Admitting his team lacks a few experienced heads to match up, Lock won't completely write his chances off.
"We went from seven or eight losses in a row and turned it around, so my hat goes off to the young guys in our side who have helped with that turnaround," he said. "I love going up against the best, I love playing the best because you see where your're at.
"I'm happy with how we're tracking and hopefully we're all healthy to play the season out."
****Saints co-coach Brenton Powell believes his side is ticking along nicely despite more bad luck with injuries impacting on their progress.
The unlucky Zac Kelly (hand) and Ben Hallas (finger) are the latest to fall victim this season, Kelly just moments after returning from a hamstring injury. Both are unlikely to play tonight against Centrals at Crathern Park, but Powell is confident they'll be back in time to help his team to another grand final.
"We should keep rolling on at this rate and see the guys gradually return from injuries," he said.
"It'll be good to play the Friday game and get it out of the way early in the weekend."
