Another week, another big haul of goals from Saints full forward Matt Walsh.
But this one was just a little better than most.
In fact, it was better than all - 19 goals against Cairns City Lions eclipsing the 17 majors he kicked against North Cairns in 2008.
For four quarters he led into space, for four quarters his midfielders hit him on the chest and for four quarters he kicked straight - except for those five behinds.
They won 32.11 (203) to 8.10 (58).
Jokingly insisting he was not hogging the ball, Walsh just said it was one of those days. "I wasn't trying to snap over my head, or making big hook leads and cut people out. I was just leading out and they kept finding me and I kept kicking goals," he said.
"I'm pretty sore now though, that field out there is pretty hard."
Walsh broke the AFL Cairns record last season when he booted 131 and after kicking 82 in his last seven games is just six majors shy of equalling that.
He said it took him longer than usual to find match fitness this season after a disrupted pre-season.
But since captaining the Cairns team to victory in June he's found it.
"I think I took a lot of confidence from that and have really had a good back-end to the season. But we've played some decent footy and the service to the forward line has really been excellent."
Saints' co-captain Brenton Powell said it was excellent to see his forward target in such good form, insisting they weren't relying on him too much.
"Our focus has been on being able to hit other targets too, because we know against the best teams you can't just keep going to the one man," he said.
"And we have the options there to do that. Obviously with Alex MacQueen, Nick Braybon and Ben Hallas back - they can all take good grabs and kick goals."
Matt Harth returned through reserve grade on Saturday in another boost for the club, who hope to be at full strength for their semi-final in two weeks.
******Some psychological blows were dealt by Port Douglas on Saturday afternoon against the side they are likely to meet in the first week of the semi-finals in two weeks.
A lot could change next weekend depending on the results, but as it stands the third-placed Port Douglas walloped the fourth-placed South Cairns on the weekend.
The 23.14 (152) to 7.12 (54) result came after the Cutters had lost their other trip to Port this season by 20 goals.
And it came just seven days after the Cutters had upset the first-placed North Cairns.
Braddon Kazakoff led the Crocs with five goals, while Ricky Misener kicked three for Souths.
