Not even being the butt of a practical joke will spoil Luke Powell's mood ahead of this weekend's AFL Cairns finals series.
The Cutters' ruckman woke to the sight of his car covered in flour and eggs on Sunday morning after his side had won on Saturday to seal fourth spot.
Powell was not sure who was responsible for it, but didn't seem to mind.
"It's bloody funny, I actually thought it was hilarious, well played,' he said.
Their 10-point defeat - 15.21(111) to 15.11(101) - of Manunda at Fretwell Park pushed them eight points clear of the Hawks and has set up a knock-out semi against Port Douglas this Saturday.
Seven goals to player-coach Daniel Lock were telling, the inspirational leader injecting himself at cruicial times to give them an early lead and then pull a final-quarter deficit back.
Powell said installing him as the club coach midway through the year had proved the right decision.
But he said it would be tough going to stay alive against Crocs on Saturday.
"It was definitely the right move. There was a lot going on midway through the season and we weren't playing well," he said.
"But we have seniors and reserves playing finals this weekend and we're both confident.
"Port are probably the sleeping giant of the top four - they have some big forwards and a dangerous forward line in general - so it'll be an interesting match-up."
Their 1pm game is the first of the senior semi-finals before Norths meet Saints (3.30pm) to fight for a direct passage to the decider.
Reserve grade semi-finals between Saints and Souths (11am) and Norths v Port Douglas (6pm) are book-ending them.
