Port Douglas Crocs president Andy Smith has urged the town to get behind their new-look team, starting tonight at home against the Cairns City Lions.
The Crocs have welcomed several recruits, including Geraldton on-baller Sam Scally.
Smith is billing the clash as a battle of the unknowns. The long-time club servant has willed the Port Douglas public to flood their home field tonight.
"It's all a bit on an unknown, even internally, how we will perform, but Coops (coach Brad Cooper) has done a terrific job with the new boys as usual and we are pretty happy with where we are at," Smith said
"We've got 26 new players on the books and those that want work are all working now, so we are definitely on track."
Play starts at 8pm, reserves at 6pm
