Most AFL Cairns teams would be happy to kick 15 goals in a match but Centrals Trinity Beach managed the feat in 30 extraordinary minutes against the Manunda Hawks at Cazalys on Saturday.
It was a second quarter to be savoured by the Bulldogs who changed a 10-point lead at the first break into a 14-goal advantage by halftime.
The burst was beyond match winning and set up a percentage-boosting 29.20 (194) to 12.10 (82) thrashing.
Bulldogs forward Heath Barnett, who finished the match with 10 goals, said his team could not have played much better.
"I think we just sort of clicked," Barnett said. "We wanted to get off to a good start running into the breeze and when we came back on the boys had a lot of run and the intensity was really good."
