North Cairns midfielder Glen Martin is not worried his team will face AFL Cairns leaders Souths at Fretwell Park a week after suffering their first loss of the season.
In Martin’s mind, the Cutters were going to be tough to beat regardless.
Many teams would lose sleep over what the Cutters might unleash on the field tomorrow in response to their flogging at the hands of Centrals Trinity Beach last Saturday.
But Martin said all the Tigers could do was concentrate on their own performance.
"I can only speak for myself but I’m not thinking of them (Cutters) as coming off a loss but as one of the form teams of the competition, which they have been for the past three or four years," he said.
"They’ve shown they normally play their best football during the season and when it comes to the finals, they can stumble and that all comes down to pressure.
"Souths are a very skilled side, very well drilled and very fit but like anyone, if you put them under constant pressure they can make mistakes in their executions and disposals, and that’s what I saw happen last week."
