Another Great Tournament For Venom
Well done to all Venom teams at the Eltham Tournament. It was fantastic to see so many Venom teams represented at all the venues. While we were unable to win one of the divisions this year, we did enjoy watching a number of teams play in semi-finals and grand finals. It was also encouraging to see teams running offences and trying new things ahead of the VJBL season. Again, well done to all, now let's focus on this Friday night's games.
Big V - Player Sponsorships & Memberships Now Available
Warrandyte Basketball has again made sponsorship a player or buying a membership for the Big V season very affordable for the whole family. As the club prepares to apply for a senior men's team, it's important that we build a membership base of 200, so please show your support for our women's team and the entire club by becoming a member in 2009. Player sponsorships cost $600 each, while memberships are only $20 (adult), $10 (child U18) or $50 (family). Great value and a fantastic way for you to support your club. Warrandyte's Clinton Grybas In Our Thoughts
It's been 9 yearS since one of Warrandyte's finest, Clinton Grybas, was sadly taken from us. The sports broadcaster and number one ticket holder at Warrandyte Basketball passed away on January 5, 2008 and will forever be in our memories at the club. A dedicated volunteer, referee, coach and player over many years at Warrandyte, Clinton's legacy lives on via the grandstand at Warrandyte Sports Complex which is named in his honour.
