Maddy Taylor to make WNBL debut tonight

Big V All Star Game

Basketball Geelong star Maddy Taylor is set to make her WNBL debut tonight for the Australian Institute of Sport.

Maddy, 20, is on loan to the AIS after signing a development contract with WNBL rivals Bendigo.

She's been seconded to Canberra following a spate of injuries suffered by the Institute's roster.

The AIS meets Logan tonight in Brisbane, before heading to Townsville for a clash with the Fire on Sunday.

It's been a whirlwind year for the YMCA product, after making her return from a knee reconstruction with the Lady Cats during the Big V season.

Maddy played in the Big V All-Star game before receiving a call from Spirit coach Bernie Harrower to try out for a spot on the regional side's roster.

She's now hot property, with the University of Wyoming, which has been home to fellow Geelong junior Gemma Koehler, in contact with Maddy about the 2010-11 NCAA season.

All at Basketball Geelong wish Maddy the best in her endeavours with the AIS and Spirit.
