A 28 point haul from James Chamberlain spearheaded Pivot City to a high-scoring 76-63 win over Tigers in Tuesday night’s Basketball Geelong summer championship action.

Chamberlain received good support from former Big V player Wes Picket (20 points), while Ben Scannell and Simon Evans had 17 apiece for Tigers.

Lara’s fine start to the season continued with a 52-47 win over Try Boys.

In the women’s competition Try Boys ended YMCA’s unbeaten start to the season with a 36-32 win.

Demi Grant top scored for the Bears with 10 points, while Madi Koehler finished with 10 for Y.

Despite 19 points from Mel Schwarz, Sharks fell to Rovers 51-39.

Bree Cail top scored for the reigning winter champions with 10.

Ebony Tannouri and Kelsey Browne finished with 17 points apiece in Pivot City’s 59-45 win over YMCA Cougars.

Star netballer Kim Martin continued her good for the Cougars with 17 points.
