Christan College and Vytis both remain inside the top four, a point clear of Sharks.

The Eagles, who were best served by Mark Dorwood’s 21 points, held off Lara 97-68.

Mark Evans was the Giants’ best with 20 points.

While the Knights were able to get past Rovers 92-74, with Supercats’ rookie Michael Rebula scoring 29 points.

Werribee star Andrew Olechnowicz did all he could to get Rovers over the line, dropping 38 points.

Try Boys Bears held onto second spot by beating Tigers 91-67.

Supercat Matt Hardiman was among three Bears to break the 20 point barrier, finishing with 23

Chris Daniele and Tim Diamond provided the support with 22 points apiece.

Ben Scannell was again Tigers’ best with 16 points.

In the women’s competition YMCA Cougars made the most of an eight point advantage for a late start, and an undermanned opposition, in upsetting clubmates YMCA.

Jen Cleary (12 points), Jana Van Parreren (11) and Kim Martin (10) provided Cougars with the triple-threat on offence.

Lady Cat Ash Hatton (22 points) and Kathy Mallon (12) were Y’s best.

YMCA’s loss has all but handed Rovers the double chance, following their 76-50 result over Sharks.

As she did in the Lady Cats’ weekend win over Diamond Valley, Kylie Morrissy top scored with 20 points.

Kelly Snell had 14 for a Sharks’ roster missing key tall Mel Schwarz.

Try Boys locked away the minor premiership with an 89-53 thrashing of Pivot City.

Katherine Brockett continued her stunning form, scoring 30 points, while Anna Teague had 24.

Ebony Tannouri was Pivot’s best with 26 points.
