Sharks have held onto fourth spot on the Basketball Geelong Championship ladder, despite a 69-54 loss to Christian College in Tuesday night’s final round.

Seb Loader paced the Eagles with 15 points, while Mark Dorwood finished with 12.

Craig Jarvis had 10 points for Sharks.

Vytis was unable to take advantage of Sharks’ loss, falling 86-61 to Try Boys Bears.

A win for the Knights would have booked them a knockout semi-final meeting with Christian College next week.

However they were outclassed by a Try Boys outfit keen to hold the double chance.

Tim Diamond and Steve Hyland both had 15 points for Bears.

Steve Wiasak was again Vytis’ shining light, finishing with 19 points.

Minor premier Pivot City tuned up for the finals with a comfortable 91-54 win over Lara.

Christian Keepen’s 24 points was the best for the Pivotonians, who had five players in double figures.

Michael Hammond finished off a solid season for the Giants with 15 points.

Jordan Hill (32 points), Mitch Herbert (29) and Pete Van Der Burg (24) combined for 85 points as YMCA flogged Tigers 109-53.

Ben Scannell was the shining light for Tigers with 22 points.

Ben Roberts' game-high 29 points wasn’t enough to stop Dolphins suffering a 64-50 loss at the hands of Rovers.

Trent Lopuszanski (19 points) and Andrew Tonkin (17) were the keys for Rovers.

In the women’s competition Try Boys proved why it’s favourites to take out the women’s competition, handing YMCA Cougars a 78-41 hiding.

Four players scored in double figures, including Lady Cats' trio Anna Teague (24 points), Tash Daffy (16) and Sarah De Grandi (12), in the ideal preparation for game two of the Big V grand final series on Saturday night.

Jana Van Parreren was Cougars best with 10 points.

The experience of Rovers won out in the battle with clubmates Rovers Hawks.

The senior team winning comfortably 71-46 over their junior counterparts thanks to 20 points from Lana Ryder.

Ellie Stevens was best for the Hawks with 20.

Pivot City held off Sharks for a 60-51 victory.

Jo Fazio was Pivot’s best with 12 points, while Ebony Tannouri had 11.

Kara Shuttleworth paced Sharks with 16.
