Top 4 Geelong Scorers: Jake Crawley 15, Jordan O’Leary 6, Jamie Syddall 5, Darcy Bennett 3.
Preliminary Final: The first two quarters were hard fought, Jake Crawley was again a standout, his determination and raw ability to produce against quality opposition at both ends of the floor is incredible. A couple of huge three pointers from Darcy Bennett and Jordan O’Leary just before half time meant we went into the long break leading 20 to 19.
With two minutes to go in the third quarter the scores were tied at 27 but with Hills executing their offenses with a maturity not often seen at this age group, Hills went on a 10 nil run and finished the quarter 10 points ahead.
Our boys were now faced with a challenge if they were going to move into the Gold Medal game.
Unfortunately the longer the last quarter went the further we were slipping behind and the result at the end was an eighteen point loss.
